With the University Libraries’ addition of millions of pages of new archive collections, Artemis Primary Sources provides innumerable research opportunities within the digital humanities. This session will highlight the newest content, while exploring navigation and textual analysis tools like Term Cluster and Term Frequency. Come with your questions and ideas to share with others involved in the digital humanities at the university, and you’ll walk away with strategies for uncovering new paths of research.

The Council for Diversity and Inclusion advises the campus administration on creating and sustaining a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive campus climate to all groups. They would like to welcome faculty, staff, and students to attend the CDI Kickoff Program from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, in the Natalie L. Haslam Music Center Room 110. The event gives the campus community an opportunity to learn about CDI’s mission and goals, meet council members, and discuss the impact of diversity legislation.

Scripps Networks Interactive human resources executive Alaka Williams will deliver the keynote address for the College of Communication and Information’s seventh annual Diversity and Inclusion Week, September 26-29, at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Williams’ talk begins at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, in McClung Museum Auditorium in Circle Park. The event is free and open to the public.
