Tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in Clinical Exercise Physiology

The Department of Integrative Physiology and Health Science (IPHS) at Alma College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in Clinical Exercise Physiology, beginning August 2016.

The successful candidate will: (1) demonstrate commitment to quality undergraduate education through excellent teaching within the classroom and quality advising/mentoring of students; (2) pursue an externally recognized research agenda, including engaging undergraduate students in the research process; (3) demonstrate commitment to institutional service activities; and (4) develop clinical internship experiences for students.

A doctorate in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physiology, or a related field prior to appointment date is required for tenure-track appointment. ACSM CEP certification and prior clinical experience are preferred. Teaching responsibilities will include courses in electrocardiography, exercise testing, exercise prescription, exercise physiology, and senior fitness. Full-time teaching load is six courses per year; salary, benefits, and support for professional development are competitive.
