The STEM Committee of the Commission For Women (CFW) will be hosting our 2nd Annual Women in STEM Research Symposium on Friday, April 15th, from 8 AM to 5 PM in the Min Kao building (tentatively) and we’d like you to SAVE THE DATE!
This full-day professional conference will highlight the broad array of scholarly contributions being made by our UTK women in STEM via poster and oral presentations and is free and open to the public. Awards for best poster and oral presentation will be given based on the results of volunteer faculty judges. The day’s events will include a keynote lecture, a panel discussion, and a career fair with local STEM industries.
This year we are opening abstract submission to all undergraduate, graduate, postdoctoral AND faculty & staff women in any STEM field! Please tell your students and faculty to keep an eye out for the call for abstracts this coming January 25th at the following website:http://cfwstem.weebly.com. If faculty would like to volunteer to become a judge for the poster or oral sessions, you can find the signup form at that same website.
