Faculty Position: University of Kentucky
The Athletic Training Division, Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, College of Health Sciences (CHS) is currently accepting applications for a full-time (12-month), Research Title Series faculty position. This individual will be responsible for the implementation of the identified research agenda and interaction with Special Operations Forces Command, Medical, and Human Performance Personnel. This research will focus on preventing unintentional musculoskeletal injury and improving physical readiness and performance. Research includes the use of motion analysis, isokinetic dynamometry, musculoskeletal examinations, proprioceptive and balance assessment modalities, metabolic and physiological assessment techniques, and nutritional evaluation and prescription for the purpose of preventing musculoskeletal injury and optimizing physical readiness.
Qualified applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology/Sports Medicine or related area from an accredited institution of higher education plus demonstrated competency of physiological testing, testing of an athletic population, and development of periodized training programs. Evidence of grant funding, publications, and presentations is preferred.
