DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) Department of Kinesiology invites applications for a nine month tenure-track position for an Assistant or Visiting Professor of Kinesiology beginning Fall 2016 The successful candidate will develop and maintain a program of research, including the pursuit of external funding. In addition, the candidate will be expected to be involved in course delivery in face-to-face, hybrid, and online environments in the exercise sciences at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  The candidate will serve as a member of the CAAHEP accreditation team, perform student advisement, and to be engaged in departmental, college, university, and professional service.

QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in Exercise Physiology or in a related field such as Biomechanics, Kinesiology or Exercise Science. Assistant/visiting professor ABD candidates will be considered. The ideal candidate’s qualifications will include:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated potential for scholarly productivity in exercise physiology or closely related area.
  • Teaching experience, to include designing or implementing hydrid and online courses, in a university setting.
  • Experience in pursuing external funding for research.
  • Capability to qualify for temporary graduate faculty status to lead to full graduate faculty status.
