Sport Management– Assistant Professor Fall 2017 Tenure Track

Qualifications: earned doctorate in Sport Management or related field with experiences in sport-based youth development (highly considered), athletic administration, sport marketing, established record of teaching excellence, demonstrated record of scholarly activity, excellence in written/oral communication skills, and value for and capacity to work with diverse populations. Interest in online learning and integration of technology into teaching is encouraged. Academic experiences with culturally diverse populations are sought. Applicants with ABD will be considered.

Education is currently seeking for an Assistant or Associate Professor in Sport Management for a full-time (9-month) tenure track position starting Fall 2017.

Responsibilities: include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in sport management, development of research agenda, curriculum development, advising and mentoring of students, and service to school, university and community.

The Sport Management program currently offers a Bachelor of Science
in Sport Management, Master of Science in Sport Management with specializations in Collegiate Athletic Administration, Sport Marketing and Sport-Based Youth Development, a specialization within the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business Master of Business Administration program and minors in Sport Management for Business, Communication, Marketing & Psychology students. The Department offers undergraduate programs in exercise science, physical education and sport management and graduate programs in exercise science, community health promotion, school health and physical education and sport management.
