Executive order on immigration

Many of you have probably seen by now that the Chancellor has sent a message to the UT community discussing what is being done and has been done regarding the executive order on immigration, outlining where to get support for impacted students, and to encourage the community to pull together to help keep our campus a welcoming community. We have posted a link to this on our site and I hope you’ll feel free to distribute however best works for your units.

Students who are directly impacted can contact the Center for International Education at cie@utk.edu (865-974-3177) or go to 1620 Melrose Avenue. They are open from 8-5 weekdays to provide assistance.

Students who need any additional support should reach out to the Dean of Students at 865-974-3179.

Dr. Cheek asks “you to take this opportunity to reach out to your fellow Volunteers, especially those who may be feeling uncertain or fearful, and help ensure that our campus is a welcoming community for everyone.”
