Professional development opportunities for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows in UT CIRTL

The Teaching and Learning Center is pleased to announce that registration is now open for our fall professional development opportunities for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows in UT CIRTL.

UT Knoxville is a part of the CIRTL Network, which is comprised of 43 universities across the nation, and uses graduate education as the leverage point to develop a national STEM faculty committed to implementing and advancing effective teaching practices for diverse student audiences as part of successful professional careers.

In this case, STEM includes a wide variety of disciplines, from the traditional science, technology, mathematics and engineering, to other areas such as agriculture to psychology. All UT graduate students and postdoctoral fellows would benefit greatly from UT CIRTL programs, as well as joining the CIRTL Network. For Fall 2017, there are three seminars available for UT CIRTL, and there are also a number of online workshops, courses, and seminars that are offered through the central CIRTL website. Further information and registration for UT CIRTL for Fall 2017 can be found at https://tlc.utk.edu/utcirtlfall2017/.

If you could dispense this information to your faculty, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, we at the Teaching and Learning Center would greatly appreciate it. For further questions about UT CIRTL or the national CIRTL Network, please contact Dr. Ferlin McGaskey, assistant TLC director, at fmcgaske@utk.edu.
