HPER building security

On a recent day, when HPER was closed for the public, an outside door of the building was propped open with a chair, probably to allow research participants access to the building. Propping a door open like this is not allowed. Both from the standpoint of theft risk and personal safety of individuals working in the building on weekends, we want to restrict access. A better procedure would be to give the research participants a phone number to call when they reach the HPER building, and then the researcher can open the door and let them in.

Please consult with your faculty advisor and research supervisor regarding appropriate practices to secure the safety of everyone involved.
