Charlotte W. Newcombe Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship

The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation is offering the Charlotte W. Newcombe Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship, which is “designed to encourage original and significant study of religious and ethical values in all areas of human endeavor.” They are accepting applications for PhD candidates in their final year of dissertation writing, and the deadline is November 15. Visit Woodrow.org/newcombe for details about the fellowship and application instructions. There are at least 20 fellowships available for $25,000 for 12 months.

For those who have been following us on social media, you have hopefully seen the announcements about the Woodrow Wilson Dissertation Fellowships in Women’s Studies. The Woodrow Wilson Dissertation Fellowships in Women’s Studies are accepting applications now for 2019. These fellowships are designed to provide support in the final year of dissertation for PhDs working in topics about women and gender. There are 10 awards available of $5,000 for 12 months. All pre-dissertation requirements must be completed by the time of the application, including any approval of the dissertation proposal. Candidates should expect to finish their dissertation in spring or summer 2020.
