The Fall 2018 Graduate Hooding Ceremony is fast approaching.
The Graduate School would like to make sure that students planning to participate in the hooding ceremony use the RSVP form to let us know they’re coming. The form is attiny.utk.edu/hooding-rsvp and just takes a few minutes to complete. It is incredibly helpful to us in making sure the ceremony is a positively memorable experience for our graduates.
Also, just a reminder that there is updated security at Thompson Boling that will be in place for the ceremony. Beyond the Clear Bag Policy, which has been in effect for a couple of ceremonies now, there will also be metal detectors at the entrances. We do have some information here at https://gradschool.utk.edu/graduation/graduate-hooding-ceremony/security-at-the-ceremony/ about both the Clear Bag Policy and the metal detectors. Please help us to make sure that this is not a surprise to our participants or attendees, as it can be an unwelcome surprise.
