Graduate students for whom English is a second language and who want or need to improve their academic communication skills are invited to enroll in English 122 Writing for Graduate Students in the fall 2019 semester. The course will meet on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:40–9:55 a.m. and is appropriate for both master’s and PhD-level students for whom English is a secondary language. Enrollees will learn immediately useful skills and techniques for scholarly writing, research writing and communication practices in their disciplines, practice oral communication in every class session, and receive individualized coaching on their current writing projects.
