Fang Yu, PhD, RN, GNP-BC, FGSA, FAAN, is Professor, Edson Chair in Dementia Translational Nursing Science, and Director of ASU Roybal Center for Older Adults Living Alone with Cognitive Decline at Arizona State University Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation. She received PhD from University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and John A. Hartford Claire M. Fagin Building Academic Geriatric Nursing Capacity Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Pennsylvania State University. She was Professor at University of Minnesota School of Nursing, Long-Term Care Professorship, and Chair of the Adult and Gerontological Health Cooperative. Professor Yu is a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of the America and American Academy of Nursing. Her research focus on exercise and lifestyle interventions to prevent and treat Alzheimer’s disease and fostered the training and education of students, post-docs, and faculty. Her research findings have been broadly disseminated via journals and a book titled Alzheimer’s Rx: Aerobic Exercise.
Professor Yu has been continuously funded since 2003 with ~$18 million federal grant funding as the PI and served as a CI or mentor on many other federal grants. She has served as grant reviewer for professional associations, federal agencies (NIH, DoD, NSF), and international organizations since 2008.

Professor Bing Yu is a tenured full professor in the School of Medicine at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He earned his MS in Kinesiology from Kansas State University and his PhD in Exercise Science from the University of Iowa. He completed his post-doctoral training at the Mayo Clinic and has published over 160 peer-reviewed research articles.
He has served as a guest professor at several international universities and has been a sports scientist with the U.S. Olympic Committee and U.S. Track and Field for over 20 years, as well as with the China Olympic Committee and China Athletics Association.
Professor Yu is a Fellow of the International Society of Biomechanics in Sports and holds memberships in the International Society of Biomechanics, the American Society of Biomechanics, and the American College of Sports Medicine.
Additionally, he has served as a regular member of study sections for the NIH and CDC, and as a reviewer for the NBA and the GE Injury Prevention Initiative. He has also contributed as an Editorial Board Member and Associate Editor for several international SCI journals.
