Buck Jones came to the University of Tennessee in 1981 after thirteen years of teaching and coaching at the University of Wisconsin—La Crosse. He earned a master’s degree at West Virginia University and a PhD at the University of Toledo. Jones created the Adidas Partners in Sports program in 1997 for the sole purpose of generating funds to create more and better opportunities for students in the Sport Management program.
