The UT Office of Research is providing workshops to strengthen the mentoring that doctoral students and post-docs receive at UT. The workshop for doctoral students and post-docs will be held on Friday, September 24, 2010 in the UC Shiloh Room. This is probably worth checking out if you are planning a career as an academic. The topics to be covered include the job search, planning for tenure, time & project management, running a laboratory, funding, publishing, collaborations, and teaching.
