The Department of Kinesiology at Mississippi State University has an open nine-month, tenure-track faculty position (Assistant Professor of Kinesiology) to be filled by August 2014. The tenure-track position requires a doctorate (ABD’s will be considered at the instructor level until the degree is in hand) in kinesiology or a related science discipline. The specialty area is open, but the successful candidate should be prepared to teach undergraduate motor behavior classes and exercise psychology. Preference will also be given to those individuals who can teach departmental graduate courses in research methods and statistics. Other duties include providing service to the department, university and profession, mentoring students, and following a scholarly agenda that entails publishing in peer-reviewed venues.
