The Orientation for new Graduate Teaching Assistants/Associates will be held on Thursday, August 13, in Thompson-Boling Arena, from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
You will have to attend the orientation, if you have been assigned a GTA position for this year and you are a new GTA at UTK. The department will register you for this event.
There will be a continental breakfast. Staff from Arts and Sciences Advising, the Office of the Registrar, the Office of Equity and Diversity, the Tennessee Teaching and Learning Center, an experienced GTA panel, and representatives from the Graduate Student Senate available to make brief presentations and answer questions.
