2015-2016 Graduate Student Senate (GSS)

The GSS is the branch of the Student Government Association (SGA) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, that deals exclusively with graduate and professional student concerns. We serve as the voice of the graduate student body and are the organization to which university administrators turn when graduate student input is needed. The GSS is composed of graduate student representatives, duly selected from within their department or program, and offers participants an opportunity to serve their respective programs by promoting its interests on a campus-wide scale.

Members of the board play a critical role in improving the experience for graduate students in the college. Graduate students on the board meet with the Dean two times a semester, attend campus and college events on behalf of CEHHS and plan the annual research colloquium. Each department has two board seats.
