Additional information:
Both positions are Assistant Teaching Faculty positions with full faculty benefits.  The pay range is $60,000 – $75,000 depending on qualifications.  As a teaching faculty, the teaching load is three courses per fall/Spring or a combination (6 courses) to include a summer course if necessary.  While these are annually renewable  positions, some of our teaching faculty have been here for nearly 20 years.  Research is encouraged, but not required and is not associated with annual renewal.  These are a 100% teaching positions and renewal and promotion are based on quality of instruction, student evaluations, innovation, creativity, and delivery.  Promotion to Associate Teaching Professor does require some research supportive of teaching.  I realize many will be leaning toward research, but this is an excellent opportunity to teach, do some independent research and grow professionally.

Parks, Recreation and Sport is a large department of nearly 400 students within the School of Natural Resources within the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources.  With these two new hires we are a faculty of seven.  Emphasis areas in Natural Resource Recreation Management, Leisure Service Management, Tourism and Sport Management.  The department employees two professional advisors, two professional internship supervisors and an administrative assistant.  We are among the oldest accredited NRPA programs in the United States with 2016 being our 50th year as a program.  2017 will mark our 39th year of accreditation.

We anticipate those hired to begin in January of 2017 if not sooner.
