Assistant Professor of Health and Physical Education

Position: Assistant Professor of Health and Physical Education, nine-month tenure-track position. The position will be open January 2017.

Job Description: The successful applicant will teach a variety of undergraduate courses in Physical Education and Health and Human Performance, including such courses as Essentials of Human Anatomy I and II, Kinesiology and Adapted Physical Education. He/She is expected to have experience teaching in hybrid and online courses. Other responsibilities include advising majors, supervising field/practicum experiences, serving on university and departmental committees, performing community service, and conducting research. Faculty members are expected to perform other duties required to meet department and University needs.

Qualifications: The successful applicant will have an earned doctorate (applicants who are ABD with a firm completion date will be considered) from a regionally accredited university in physical education or health sciences or a related field. Experience in college teaching, advising, and use of instructional technology and innovative teaching strategies expected. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills articulate a history of professionalism and collaboration.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
