KINESIOLOGY DEPARTMENT, FULL-TIME LECTURER in Psychology/Sociology of Physical Activity, Exercise and Sport. The department is seeking to hire one full-time lecturer for academic year 2017-18 (with possible extension) to begin September 7th, 2017.
Required Qualifications: Masters Degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology, Kinesiology or closely related field. Must have ability to teach the following undergraduate courses: Psycho/Social Aspects of Physical Activity; Sports, Media and Popular Culture; Applied Sport Psychology; Motor Development; graduate level Sport and Exercise Psychology; and supervise undergraduate and graduate student research. Must also have the ability to teach in one or more of the following undergraduate courses: Introduction to Kinesiology; Introduction to Perspectives in Physical Activity; Introduction to Research Methods; Sport and Gender; and Senior Project. Candidates will ideally have the ability to teach the following graduate level courses: Introduction to Issues, Ethics and Policies in Teaching; Effective Practice in Teaching and Coaching Preferred Qualifications: Doctoral Degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology, Kinesiology or closely related field; University teaching experience and expertise in Qualitative Research Methods and candidates will ideally have the ability to teach the following graduate level courses: Introduction to Issues, Ethics and Policies in Teaching; Research Methods; Effective Practice in Teaching and Coaching.
