QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have an earned doctorate in Sport Management or Sport Management-related field. Three to five years of college teaching required with experience using technology as well as a variety of instructional strategies; and course development preferred. The ideal candidate must possess superior communication, leadership and organizational skills, and an ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse communities and cultures. In addition, candidates must be able to maintain an active research agenda, engage in professional and university services activities, serve as an academic advisor, and be able to teach 12-credit hours per semester. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Deadline for applications is October 2, 2017. 

STARTING DATE: August 2018

RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a full time, tenure-track position with commensurate expectations for teaching, scholarship and service. Candidates will teach 12-credit hours per semester. Courses include: Sport Finance and Economics, Global Perspectives in Sport, Sport Facility and Design, and Psychology of Sport. Additional courses that may be taught include: Sport Marketing, Sport Law, Sociology of Sport, and Event Management. Candidates must also be able to maintain an active research agenda, engage in professional and university services activities, and serve as an academic advisor. Other assignments may include internship supervision, assisting with the Sport Management Club, and the development of a Sport Management Master’s program.
