We are seeking nominations of PhD students to be considered for either the 18th annual St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital National Graduate Student Symposium (NGSS), or 5th annual Future Fellow Research Conference (FFRC). These exceptional academic and professional development opportunities will be held on the St. Jude campus in Memphis, TN March 25-29, and June 4-6, 2019, respectively.
The NGSS and FFRC are all-expenses-paid symposia to which top PhD students from around the country are invited to participate. To be eligible, students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, with an estimated graduation between March 2019 and July 2020. Preference will be given to students whose work is relevant to ongoing research at St. Jude.
These symposia are not advertised; thus, students can apply only if they are nominated by a faculty advisor via a simple form: stjude.org/ngss. You may nominate multiple students by October 27, 2018. Please forward this information to your Graduate Program Directors or other faculty members who may wish to nominate outstanding students. Nomination of exceptional under-represented minority students is encouraged.
Invitations to apply will be sent to students at the beginning of November. For students graduating before March 2019 who are interested in postdoctoral fellowships at St. Jude, please review the list of fully-funded open positions here. Visit stjude.org/postdoc and contact firstname.lastname@example.org for additional information.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the symposia and postdoctoral opportunities at St. Jude.
I look forward to receiving your nominations.
